EBSCO, Stand & Poors NetAdvantage, and NexisUNI are good databases to start with on your search.
Here are instructions to begin your research
Standard & Poors
- S&P has the 10K, the 10Q, Industry information, competitors, stock price history, analysts reviews, etc.
- Go to our library web page at http://slulibrary.saintleo.edu
- Click on the Databases tab.
- Select "S".
- Select Standard and Poors NetAdvantage; this will take you to the login page.
- Look for the search box on the top of the page and type in the company name.
- In the search result select the business that best matches what you are looking for
Business Source Complete
- Go to our library web page at http://slulibrary.saintleo.edu
- Click on the Database tab.
- Select "B."
- Click on “Business Source Complete”
- In the upper portion of the screen look for "Company Information" and click on it.
- In the search box, click on "Company Name" and type in H&R Block and click search
- Click on the most relevant business that you are researching
- It should provide you all the company data on the company you are searching for.
- On the left side of the page look at "related information", click on one of the links as it'll provide you with other articles and helpful information to help you on your research
NexisUNI
- Go to our library web page at http://slulibrary.saintleo.edu
- Click on the Databases tab.
- Select "N"
- Select NexisUni; this will take you to the NexisUni login page.
- To login enter your SLU username [first name.last name] and the password that you use for your SLU email.
- In the search box type in your terms (company name) and click on “Search”
- It'll retrieve all relevant information on your keywords.
On the left side of the page you can narrow your search down to specifically what you are looking for such as Company Directories & Profiles, Industry Trade Press, Press Releases, and Newspapers.
